The Opportunity

Daikin/Goodman has immediate openings for the Waller, Texas location located at 19001 Kermier Road, Waller, Texas 77484.  The Reach Truck operators are responsible for receiving, transportation, delivery and handling of all material received and distributed throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas. Responsibilities

  • May include;

    • Process factory transfers within the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
    • Operate powered tuggers, and industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks
    • Transport goods packed on pallets or in crates to designated areas safely
    • Ensure material is transported to correct locations
    • Ensure loads are secure at all times
    • Control damage and inventory
    • Ability to drive designated vehicle safely
    • Ability to utilize the PKMS through RF scanning
    • Ability to complete LTL and Will Calls
    • Complete all required paperwork and turned it all in at the end of each shift
    • Complete a daily Pre &Post shift daily equipment/truck inspections
    • Attend and participate in daily safety meeting
    • Proper PPE and uniform must be worn at all times during each shift
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
    Follow instruction for operating equipment and keeping records

Qualifications

    •  

      ·     Mentor for Others

      ·     Can do all lower levels.

      ·     Can do order picking, loading, put-away, etc.

      ·     Takes direction from Supervisor

      ·     Ability to successfully process (ex: Basic Loading and Unloading) factory transfers Ability to successfully task outbound FTLs error and damage free (ex: scan into the correct staging location) 

      ·     Must be able to process  outbound FTL’s successfully (error and damage free) Ability to operate a Forklift and Reach Truck (Turret) safely and work in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment.

      ·     Must be able to handle material in a safe and efficient manner

      ·     Ability to use WMS and scanning equipment

      ·     Ability to meet deadlines

      ·     Ability to work unsupervised

      ·     Must be in good standing with the company

      ·     Ability to operate a turret truck and order picker

      ·     Narrow aisle high rack stacking experience

      ·    Basic Computer skills.

      ·    Be able to multi-task.

      ·    Be dependable and work well in a team environment.

      ·    Must have adequate forklift skills & be able to learn PKMS.

      ·    WMS experience helpful but not required.

      ·    Basic  English language  skills

      ·    High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

      ·    Experience in a high volume warehouse or manufacturing facility

      5-7 years industrial forklift experience

      3 plus years operating a reach truck.  In-house certification required.

      High School diploma or GED.

      Must have Valid driver’s license
